HISTORY OF THE NIKOLA MODEL

Design in homage to the inventor Nikola Tesla , the genius of electricity.

Nikola Tesla was born in Smiljan, present-day Croatia, on July 10, 1856. From an early age, he showed a great interest in electricity after witnessing a shower of sparks while petting his cat. This event marked the beginning of his fascination with the electrical phenomenon and his determination to understand it. Despite facing challenges, such as a serious cholera illness in his youth, Tesla persisted in his desire to become an engineer. After completing his studies at the Polytechnic University of Graz, Austria, and working in Europe, he emigrated to the United States in 1884.

In the United States, Tesla began working with Thomas Edison, but their differences soon led them on separate paths. While Edison advocated direct current, Tesla advocated alternating current as a more efficient solution. This dispute became known as "the war of the currents." Despite the difficulties, Tesla continued to develop his vision of a world powered by electrical energy, collaborating with George Westinghouse and working on innovative projects such as wireless power transmission. Throughout his life, Tesla faced financial challenges and legal conflicts, but his legacy as one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century endures to this day, reminding us of his visionary genius and his lasting impact on the history of science and technology. technology.
