Design in homage to the inventor of modern cruise ships, Albert Ballin .

The modern concept of ocean cruising is generally attributed to Albert Ballin, a German businessman who worked for the Hamburg-America Line shipping line in the late 19th century. Ballin pioneered the idea of ​​offering leisure travel on passenger ships, rather than simply transporting people from one port to another. In 1891, the Hamburg-America Line launched its first pleasure cruise with the ship "Augusta Victoria", which made a voyage from Hamburg, Germany, to New York and back. This voyage marked the beginning of the modern cruise industry as we know it today. However, it is important to note that pleasure sea travel was already taking place before this, but Ballin is recognized for his contribution in popularizing and commercializing pleasure travel by passenger ships on a large scale.
